WM101BBlogowin13_RGB[1]Consumers Credit Union is proud to once again receive the honor of being named one of “West Michigan’s 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For” by the Michigan Business and Professional Association (MBPA).

This year’s winners represent many industries, including automotive, insurance, hospitality, communications, and nonprofits. All will be honored on Thursday, May 2 at the MBPA’s annual symposium and awards program.

“Profitability and stability is essential for businesses in today’s economic climate. Companies that recognize that their employees are the key to their success, achieve staying power. Our 2013 winners style their business standards to ensure employee satisfaction and they set standards for every business to aspire toward,” says Jennifer Kluge, MBPA president. “We are very impressed by the commitment that they have demonstrated to their employees.”

To determine this year’s honorees, an independent research firm evaluated companies on key measures in various categories, such as Employee Enrichment, Engagement, and Retention; Communication and Shared Vision; Work-Life Balance; and Community Initiatives.

Shawn Premer, Vice President of Human Resources, shares, “At Consumers Credit Union, we understand that engaged and committed employees deliver top-notch member service. That is why our strategic goals are centered around TEAM. The credit union focuses on team camaraderie and support, along with advanced training programs, to enhance member service. Our best-in-class benefits are focused on increasing staff morale with recognition for community volunteerism and exceptional member service.”
